Hope someone can answer this for you. ************* Hello Folks, I'm beta-testing new products for FAST Multimedia in Germany. Now I have a new FPS60 which is a low price PAL/NTSC M-JPEG capture board in S-Video quality including on-screen overlay and S-Video output. (It will be shipped in May or June or so.) The final release will be bundled with Premiere 4 LE. That is my actual configuration. Instead of recording form an external source, I'm producing picture sequences (TIF, TGA) with 3D Studio using Premiere and FPS60 to play this to video tape. The quality so far is quite good, but unfortunately, not at its best. The problem here is the premiere field options! So, here is a simple questions: Capturing on FPS60 in S-Video works fine. Both fields are recorded properly and stored as M-JPEG AVI files. Play back of these AVIs via premeiere shows both fields on the FPS S-Video & FBAS output. I try the same with 3D Studio. The sequences are field rendered in 384x288x24 (25 F/s PAL!!) and stored as TIF sequence, which reads into Premiere and is then converted to M-JPEG AVI using the FPS60 hardware acceleration. I use the Full Frame option for the clips. The playback of the animation shows both fields per frame which is not the desired effect. Changing the options to Field 1 or Field 2 makes no difference. (Only the Deinterlace option shows the correct frame but this makes field rendering superfluous and saves time also!) How can I get Premiere to convert the frame sequence into correct field 1, field 2 output? I hope there is someone out there to cope with that! I would really appriciate any hint & love to give hints for your questions also! So long, Tom
