John, >> your problems were not unlike the same kinds of problems you could have had with DOS or Windows for that matter. << No I didn't think you were complaining. What I was doing is citing your experience as a showcase example, of how the basic problems are no different than what we've encountered before for the most part. I guess in this case my use of the word "you" was taken personally, rather than in a general sense. I meant it in a general sense. I think you pursued it as I hope everyone would, with a sense of humor and an intelligent awareness of the kinds of complications one is likely to encounter. And the rewards are great for the effort as you've discovered. So no, I find no fault at all, and congratulate you on your success. My comments about DOS and NT were more directed to all the complaints I've heard about DOS, which come from the same people who are complaining about NT. And I couldn't resist taking a poke at it, because basically it is the same attitude. You, on the contrary, have shown yourself to be "a get with it, lets go for it" kinda guy, and we could use alot more of that kind of spirit around here. And if I've provided any kind of encouragement to that end, I'm very pleased to have done so. In the end, however I think it comes down to the character of the individual, how it'll be approached. Those that've got it will go for it, as you have… the rest well…. they'll try to make it as difficult as possible… I don't understand it, and its too bad because like you I think NT is great. Regards, John
