Hi Jonas, << Have you started to dig into the Performance Monitor. The NT Resouce Guide has a chapter labelled " Zen and the art of performance monitoring..". >> I have fooled around with the performance monitor a bit, but I don't have the Resource Guide. However, the title seems appropriate from my experience <g>. Geez, for a newcomer, it's really a huge chore just identifying & obtaining all the necessary documents, updates & other info for NT. Barring one additional rule-out test to do, I can definitely say that some on-line communications types (such as WWW) are improved with NT vs my WIN 3.11 install. I have no idea why. I haven't found a solution to Wacom PS, running my SCSI (non-TWAIN) scanner, or my SCSI older Erasable Optical…..or making the drive letter assignments match my existing DOS assignments (yes I can change them, but…). However, I have managed to get EIDE, SCSI, & Proprietary devices all configured along with MIDI & Wave I/O devices, plus the mouse/tablet & modem, printer, etc.. With WIN 3.11, I gave up early on getting ALL this stuff running in a single environment, running a multi-boot as needed. But, with NT it just happened to work with a little coaxing. What's puzzling is I clearly have identifiable IRQ conflicts, in some cases which NT points out, yet it works without problems anyway ??? Puzzled but pleased, BILL
