James, please type in upper and lower case. All upper case is taken as
shouting on CIS and is harder to read. The skipping is probably not your
CD-ROM drive. To see if the skipping is caused by your drive play an
ordinary audio CD. If that plays OK the problem lies elsewhere. What is
the type and clock speed of your microprocessor? What is on your MSCDEX
line in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file? What versions of software are you using
for MSCDEX, TSLCDR and PROAUDIO? The latest drivers are available on the
