I've got a question for the cognoscenti- I just received a PAR and I'm thinking hard about Razor Pro. I've got two boxes to put it in: A Micron P-5 90 Mhz, PCI/ISA, 32 MB RAM or a Gateway 486-33, PCI/ISA, 32 MB RAM. The Par will be used to network render 3DS (6-486's on a WFW 3.11 net that's not up and running yet so I really don't know how practical it will be) and for editing short 5-10 second VHS and S video pieces. Would I see a significant reduction in video play back if I put it in the 486? The Micron P 90 is going to see a lot of Photoshop use and I'd hate to keep the PAR board from net rendering during all that Photoshop time. If I'm running PAROUT and I want to use the PAR machine for another task will 3DS frames rendering throughout the net be collected and held on the slave machine's HD's untill the PAR is net accessible again. If I'm running PAROUT would I be able to go in to the PAR during a 3DS net render and pull a short video clip off as sequential tga's, transfer them via ethernet to the Micron for Photoshop play, and then reactivate the PAR to continue to collect 3DS frames from across the net?
