I've read their file about curling, and it mostly says if you don't use the right paper or load it in the tray right, then it's your fault. I've found and tried Xerox 4201, which HP says they test their printers on. Same old curled results. If they know only some of the 4P's curl the paper badly, why don't they list a range of serial numbers for them? I would be more then willing to add mine to a survey list to get them started. I do believe that humidity and types of paper have an effect on curl, but I've yet to find a paper that won't roll off the desk after it comes out of the printer. I've tried the microwave route, I've stored my paper in ziplock bags with an ounce of rice to remove moisture, and I even considered rigging up a voodoo doll in the shape of the printer to see if that would do the trick. Unfortunately, the only trick is on the poor HP customer. I'm getting tired of bumping up the stock prices of Office Max, Office Depot, Future Shop, etc. by buying every paper known to man. One thing's for sure though, I won't be increasing the price of HP stock anymore! -Gene Palmer
