Nigel, I really can't understand why so many folks are having trouble with the bin selection. It really does work with the 2.1.1 drivers. Some people have found that they have the 500-sheet accessory for the original 4/4M which will not work with the Plus models–this has nothing at all to do with the drivers. You should be able to use the PSCRIPT.DRV based driver originally released for the LJ 4M with the 4M Plus. But you should apply the Microsoft v. 3.58 update to work with Word (the 4M shipped with v. 3.53, I believe). This driver does not use the Level 2 features in either printer, nor will it support unique 4M+ features (such as duplex). I have found some minor difficulties with some applications when using the "old" driver with the new printer, but they are generally not show-stoppers. – Dick Minnick [Ford],74417,51 @ 12-May-1995, 22:26:15 EST [Troy, MI]
