4MV / MSWord6.0 "Symbol"
One of our users presented me with a problem that may be a driver issue. She
was using MS WinWord 6.0 printing to an HP Laserjet 4MV utilizing the
HPPCCL5E.DRV version 31.1.50 (6/22/94) printer driver and was trying to print
some square boxes–pulling down the "Insert" menu, choosing the "Symbol"
option, choosing the "Symbol" tab, and then using the "Symbol" font. With that
option, the square boxes showed up on the screen, but did not print. She then
tried the same sequence but using the "Wiingdings" font. This time it printed.
Is there a logical explanation for this anomaly? or is this indicative of a
problem with the driver?
