What was the problem? We have used the JetDirect cards with a WFW 3.11 network
(about 30 computers and 5 printers) for over two years (no server) and it has
been reliable. We have them on a variety of printers including III, 4MV, II+.
You should have received the WFW drivers with your printer but there are
drivers in this forum's library for WFW. I believe version A.00.03 is the most
recent. You do not need to setup a print server to use the card. The JetDirect
software allows each computer to print directly to the printer through the
network as if it was connected directly to the computer. You are missing out
on speed and ease of use by not using the JetDirect Card to print to your
printer from the network!
