Yes, Quarterback does allow you to restore individual partitions from a
tape that has several different ones on it. Use the "Space" command in the
"Tape Control" requester to advance (space) the tape to the partition you
want to restore (incidentally, the "Tape Control" requester is also where
you set Quarterback to not automatically rewind after each backup). Its
all pretty simple once you have tried it.
