HPIIID & JETDIRECT
I have an HPIIID laser with a postscript cartridge that is connected to my
network with the use of an Intel Netport board. I've noticed with the Netport
board that printing is awfully slow it is not as fast as the HP JetDirect cards
that have in my other lasers. I do realize postscript printing is slow and that
the HPIIID lasers do not have the postscript option installed on the
motherboard unlike the HP 4 series lasers. But I wanted to know if HP made an
HPJetDirect card that can handle postscript documents to be printed without
having to use the postscript cartridge. My objectives are to replace the Intel
Netport board with an HP JetDirect card and to improve the laser performance.
If anyone has any recommendations, please respond as soon as possible. I need a
solution ASAP.
