There is a way to set up a loop in the keyframer which looks like it should work if you set it up right. I usually do my modeling in 3D Studio, but for complex models I use Acad. In general I would rather model in 3DS to avoid the problems with importing a geometry, but Acad can do some things a lot better than 3DS.
