Mark, The real use is being able to quickly shell out to say Photoshop to alter that map a little then pop back into 3D Studio to render it to see how it looks. Or shell out from an authoring enviroment to 3D Studio to update an image you need. Or maybe you want to set an alarm clock in windows to tell you to go home. My wife found this was usefull!! 🙂 The main thing is that it is a pain having to start and stop an operating system. Andrew
