Hank: I also have noticed time of day can make a big difference in speed. I only use Mosaic and use it as the interface to FTP etc. I find that the CIS software is faster at reading in the pages and inline graphics. I was just wondering if the registered version of PPP and AmiTCP would make a difference in speed with AMosaic. The speed of startnet does not concern me. I am concerned with the speed of reading in the pages. I wish Amosaic would allow you to scroll while it is reading in like the CIS software allows :(. Thanks for the input. Norm M.
