I'm not sure what configuration the 4000 needs but unless you've got a GVP card installed (which requires special memory chips) you can use the chips from various sources as long as they are the right ones for your system (Sims, zips, whatever). More memory will give you a snappier system in general and allow you to load and work with larger graphics (or sound) files without problems.
