I'd be very surprised if it was SCSI-II FAST or WIDE, but it might conform
to the SCSI-II protocols.
SCSI-II FAST uses higher buss speeds, which is why they need all 50 wires,
and hence the new mini-DB50 that fits on an edge card connector.
SCSI-II WIDE uses a wider buss, and I don't think I've ever seen the
cables for that type.
Lots of newer SCSI-II controllers for the PC impliment the SCSI-II FAST
protocol, so they usually use one of those new-fanlged mini-DB50
connectors on the edge of the card.
As for your A4008-HC8, just look at the SCSI connector on the back of the
card. If it looks like a standard DB-25 (printer/serial port size)
connector, then, at most, it impliments SCSI-II protocols, but not the
FAST or WIDE options.
If the connector on your A4008-HC8 is a mini-DB50, then you're hosed.
You'll have to buy the $50 adaptor cable (as opposed to $10 for a std
Mac-SCSI cable!!)
I was never interested in the A4008-HC8, since it was from GVP, and it
wasn't a DMA SCSI controller. (ie: the CPU has to move all the data,
making it slower than a DMA device.)
