For Sale: Mitusbishi Multi-Scan Monitor for All Amigas
I have a used Mitsubishi Diamond Scan monitor, model AUM-1381A, for sale. It's
one of the few multi-scanning monitors that scans down to 15 KHz, the sync rate
used for NTSC video, as well as the Amiga's "normal"
low-res, high-res, and high-res interlaced video modes. It also scans
up to 38 KHz horizontal, which means that it handles _all_ of the Amiga's
ECS and AGA modes, as well as IBM VGA 640×480, and Macintosh 640×480 modes,
non-interlaced. It will even handle most 800×600 non-interlaced modes. Since
it handles both "normal" Amiga modes and VGA compatible modes, it's the
perfect monitor for the Amiga 3000, 4000, and 1200, or any other Amiga model
that uses a 24-bit color board, like the Picasso II, Retina, or EGS Spectrum.
Play your games AND run productivity software in high res, all on the same
monitor. For video fans, it's one of the few RGB monitors that also has an
NTSC video input (with BNC connector, though I'll include a BNC to RCA
adapter). Like most multi-scan monitors, however, it doesn't come with any
speakers. You'll need to use external speakers with it. It's a 13-inch
monitor, but it's not really noticeably smaller than today's 14-inch models.
The monitor is a couple of years old, in good condition, and I've got all
of the original packaging, manuals, etc. I'll even throw in a 15-pin to
23-pin adapter, to make sure you can use it with any Amiga. I'm asking
$225 plus shipping, about half the going price for a new multi-sync monitor (if
you can even find one that scans down to Amiga rates). If interested, reply by
