Yes. The ISA bus is limited to 16M due to the number of address lines. It's got nothing to do with how much memory can a 80386/80486 address. As for how much memory can you put on your 486, that depends on how the motherboard was designed. In theory, you can put over 4 Terabytes (that's 1024 times 4 Gigabytes). You have to buy your neighbor's lot and nuclear power plant though. In practicality, your are probably limited to around 64M (physical space). Some motherboards will allow you to go all the way to 256Meg. Not common at all yet.
