Hi, Norm: I just checked by the I/O port ( forgive my ignorance, but that's the one which plugs into the side of the Amiga?). There is nothing which resembles what you describe, anywhere. I have four simms, could it be under these? though I doubt there's room. As to the scanner, I did wait until all the lights stopped flashing. I do appreciate any help you can render as GVP is not too fast on getting back to one. One GVP dealer said that there may not be a term block in the HD8+, I don't know. Although after looking around the uncovered HD the only open areas besides the SIMM pins, are two rows of pins near the I/O port (assuming the above definition is right), but this wouldn't accomadate (sp) an inch long term block. —via AutoPilot@14400 Lou Yurcsak
