Sean,
A lot of people have been saying that the Mac is dying for years, but I've
been hearing from some friends in various areas of the computer industry say
that Apple's market share is slipping as more people go over to PCs.
Development is being done more for Windows programs than for Mac programs.
With the clones, it can swing either way. Apple, being the company that
they are, allowed for clones too late to make much good IMHO. The fact that
clones are now being able to be made can be good for end-users, but they are
still stuck to Apple for the MacOS and the Mac ROMS. Not too free for a
clone-based market.
But these are what I've heard and my own personal opinions.
