From a phone call last night I understand;
NewTek has indeed announced a "Toaster" for Windows(NT) machines. They also
announced a portable D-2 recorder (read: Flyer in a box). 3rd quarter
availability is what I was told. SCSI interface to the switcher/flyer, so it
should be portable to just about any platform really.
Play, Inc., Trinity machine (larger than a microwave oven, I'm told) looks
impressive but won't ship until 4th quarter or so. Lee Stranahan (World's
smartest Toaster guy) know works for Play, Inc.
Pinnacle's dealer meeting is this morning. Has anyone heard if they are
announcing a second DVE channel for the Alladin?
Any first hand information would be extremely appreciated!
