AG-455U, L2 or VX-3?

Hi Philip. If your plans are to eventually get your finished product broadcasted, my advice would be to go with the VX3. I haven't had the chance to see the image from an L1, but I have seen the VX3, and it has a very nice picture. Having 3CCD's makes a big difference. Camera resolution is higher, and colours are reproduced more accurately. The big trade off in having 3 chips is decreased light sensitivity. This is because of the prism block that the chips are located on. When the light coming through the lens strikes the prism, it (the light) is divided into it's 3 colour components: Red, Green, Blue. This division reduces the intensity of the light drastically, therefore less light hits the CCDs. The VX3 is a fine camera. But it's like Timothy said, pick the camera that suits you best. Chow! CK
