You're the only one I've run into who has had very negative things to say about
the L2. In fact, most people who own them seem to be very pleased. Do you know
whether the problem you're having is unique to your camera or it's a model-wide
problem? I've pretty much decided to buy the L2, but your problem still
concerns me.

P.S. Are you the same Burt I had the conversation with over in BP about color
scanning for DTP?
