The Ikegami HL-57 has a detail circuit that decreases the amount of detail
inserted in the picture area dominated by flesh tone values (a certain #degrees
from burst). This is a user selectable value. It actually works well. I
believe Sony's 600 & 700 also has a similar circuit (actually, I should say
algorithm, as both these cameras are DSP cameras).
