#Help w/ system design
I'm considering "investing" in small scale video productions system.
I would like to have the capability to shoot and edit 15-30 minute
films, of a quality that could be entered in film contests.
Currently I have a Pentium 90 with 16MB RAM and a 2GB hard drive. (adding more
disk space or an optical drive is possible)
Questions:
1. What video card would you recommend?
2. What digital capture card would you recommend?
3. What non-linear editing software would you recommend?
4. Video camera: Canon L2 or Sony CCDVX3? ANy comments? Preferences?
Competitors?
Finally, is it possible to purchase all of the above if the end goal is
Professional results for $5k? 7k? I do not want to spend money only to find
that I have only a semi-functional toy.
