Actually, at this point I'm using a Panasonic WJ-AVE5's digital field buffering
function for my time base correction… I know it doesn't do as good a job, but
it's adequate to my needs at this point.
Speaking of which, one thing you might want to cover in your article is the
difference between time base correction and digital field/frame buffering
(which SEGs like the Panasonic WJ-AVEs and Fast's Video Machine come with). I
remember when I was reviewing the AVE5 I had *loads* of fun trying to track
down a straight answer about its "phantom TBC"…
