We have a question about creating an EDL for our video house. We have a Mac
with Premiere, and a Sony 3ccd. We want to be able to read the time-code, but
apparently we need a device called a Vbox which uses the LANC controller. We're
not even sure if this method will allow us to read the time codes. We tried
using Premieres OCR for the time code, but it didn't work (the Sony time code
is too gray, I guess).
Anyway, how do we do this? It seems so simple. Do we need the Vbox? We heard
about another special device which hooks up to the Mac and allow us to read and
write time code, but we're not sure about the brand or if it works.
