Putting these on a PCI mobo makes more economic sense than a SCSI with not-inexpensive host adapter … unless scsi is already needed for other peripherals. PCI mobos will also come down in price due to intense competition from Cyrix and other i586 clone chips. Byte just had an interesting article on this issue. And the builder I obtain most of my parts from confirmed this with his anticipation of price cuts at this level. I only wish the memory prices would drop too. I keep thinking of our precious government's market intervention two years ago and how this is probably keeping DRAM prices up at our expense (I've always got a conspiracy theory or two handy).
