I just read the message from Ron Russell 4\22. I also am using Miro DC1 and Premire 4.0. I was expecting better quality digitized video output than I am acheiving. Any advice on optimal settings would really be helpful. I am running a DX2/66 VLB with 20meg 70n ram, Miro DC1 card, 2meg #9GXE64 video card, sIDE-4/vl controller card and 2 13m sec 540 meg drives. The 2nd drive is only for capture and virtual memory. I have tried as many combinations as I can think of to produce full motion (pro quality) video to Hi8, but either I get poor frame rate (stepped playback) or dropped frames. Also, no combination produces video without pixel distortion at high contrast change areas. HEELLPP!! My goal is to edit Hi8 video for movie production and a special effects demo reel. Thanks, Mitch
