John, To capture video for Multi-media and or Video applications you can buy anything from $500 cards to $5000 cards. The resulting digitized video can be converted in a digital form down to a common denominator format for mass distribution while the original data retains its highest resolution. You probably want to look at cards like the Plum, DPS PAR and or Perception, Fast Video's DP/R, NewTek's Flyer, etc. These are all in the $3k+ range. The $1000 cards may be good to experiment with, and you could probably do a good amount of "logging" with them, but in the end you want the highest quality that you can afford. -John
