They're using quadras for special effects with the usual software,photoshop, adobe, morph etc. However for their editing they've just gone numeric ( first french company outside the TV stations to do this). As for the DTV home market there are about 3 shops in Paris specialising in home video. They seel the usual editors such as vivanco, video pilot etc much the same as can be bought in the U.K. As for the boards and software (for PC) there is creative labs, orchid, Miro , vitec and Fast. Of course , an important factor is the possibility to produce and/or input SECAM as well( the french broadcasting standard). Otherwise the softs the same Video studio, video editor, moviestudio, adobe, mpeg player, video clip, asymetrix, video for windows, aldus, morph etc. There are no specialised video editing magazines for the home based market.
