If you just created the component image elements separately (ie all
roofs, all trims, all sidings), you could use a program like DTA to
composit them on demand. The MM autoring program would simply need
to call DOS and provide the correct syntax for DTA to do the
compositing. The finished image could then be called-up and
displayed by the authoring program.
This has two big advantages: 1) you don't have to have to create and
store all the final combinations — just the components; 2) You can
add component images at any time without having to do a bunch of
extra work.
