How about for the Name? Most of the 'computer people' that I have
dealt with over the years have 'turned their noses up' at Apples, Ataris,
Commadores and 'Trash-80s'. The only machine that had a real OS early on was
the 8 bit Heath machines. Many, myself included, hoped that the TRS-80 models
12 and 16 (68000) would do well. Alas, they really bombed. The first machine
that REALLY turned the heads of people that were used to power and speed was
the AMI! With the exception of disk access, this machine gives the kind of
response that you expect from minis and is the first and still the only one
that really behaves like a mini. (I know this really isn't new to you).
