Hi there….I am considering up-grading my Mac IIci to either a Turbo 601 -100mhz or just buying a 8100-100mhz. I have a few questions. I'm currently running a (Daystar 040-40mhz with a 128 cache)…what kind of trade-in could I expect from it, if I purchase a (Turbo 601 -100mhz) card for my IIci? And what do I need to do to get the ball rolling on this? Are there any "Compatibility" problems with the Turbo601-100mhz card? What happens if I have utilities/games/Inits/CDEV's etc. that are NOT Power Mac compatible? You either run 030 or Power Mac? Does the software switch back and forth "automatically"? I also have a (Radius/SuperMac Thunder 24 bit video card)….will it operate correctly with the 601-100mhz? New ROM? And System Software? I'm currently running 7.5 for the NON Power Mac….So what additional stuff will I need to install for the 601-100mhz Daystar Card? Just install Power Mac Software? I'm currenly using (20-megs of Ram)….will I need more for Power Mac applications? Freehand/Photoshop/Painter/Word? Looking forward to your reply! Sincerely, Rich Leffler
