I haven't used Premiere or any similar software, so I can't help you with
that…sorry. Leave a message in the TrueSpace section here….seems several
people have experience with Premier, and another package called Razor and Razor
Pro.

I saw Pemiere bundled with an M-JPEG card. I know that JPEG is for stills and
MPEG is for movies but what exactly does an MPEG card do and is it worth it for
dispaying 3D animations?

The MPEG card itself is primarily used to decompress the MPEG for faster play
and display on your system. Without it, you are at the mercy of software
decompression, which will vary with the speed of your machine's CPU type. A
faster CPU..ie Pentium and you'll get faster decompression/display. However, a
dedicated MPEG board would still be the fastest for smoother play.
If you are more interested in transferring your animations to tape rather than
just displaying them on your machine, a PAR (Personal Animation Recorder) would
be better.
