David, It's always almost necessary to manually optimize a sliced area before performing another slice in Imagine. Otherwise, as you noted, SLICE will hiccup. >> Maybe we can convince Mike to add this feature ("enhanced merge") in one of the next versions, since it helps a lot. << I've asked for it, Mike knows it should be in there, don't know when a merge threshold will get in though. All I can say is for everyone to suggest it again so it's kept current on the "to do" list. -GreG
