Ted, Make the "V" section of the "Y" first, then make the stem of it as a seperate object. If you don't need to have a seemless object, then just position the two objects to form the shape of the "Y". What you get now is a fully blended gradation, no dithering. So if you generate a 24bit image, and view it in 24bit mode, it'll be blended. -GreG
