I'VE volunteered for something? Darn I thought I stopped doing that when I
got out of the army (ours, First Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery,
1963)
At the moment I'm looking into really important things (to we Canadians) —
how to get the heck somewhere warm for a week or two. And still waiting
for my new Pioneer 604X — any day now I'm told.
Tell your Chinese friends to vacation up here sometime. They'd love our
East Coasters telling them to "Go ahead, back up!" when they're parking
their cars. Or the fact that we go "Down East" from Toronto to Halifax,
despite Halifax being more northerly than Toronto. And of course there is
our infamous "Eh?" Cheers!
