Kevin, Thanks for your reply and your comments on the rest of the thread – they have educated me far beyond what the (few) printed sources that I've seen have told me. CD-I does sound much more appealing than I would have expected. I guess a year or two will tell what will be available and how these two systems live up to their promise. It sounds like CD-I compatibility will be a necessity for CDTV. I expect that Commodore's announcement will at least bring about competition and the advantages to consumers that it inspires. Heading back into "Read Only Mode" myself, thanks again –Pat
