Mike,
For most of the little utilities I've written for myself work OK. Then
again they don't tend to push the compiler very hard. The "tone" of my
message is due to all the time I've wasted trying to port a few complex
programs (compilers, waveform processing programs, etc.) that I use at
work. These are all running under two or three different OS's with
different compilers and were written to be portable. So far all the
problems I've run into were compiler bugs.
Combine this with the fact that I ordered and paid for 5.0 a year ago
when you first started taking orders, then discovering that somebody
decided not to bother shipping me the new version until I called again and
asked for it, you shouldn't be surprised that I'm a little annoyed about
the whole thing.
