Copy Protection
I have recently purchased the program Mavis Beacon teaches typing. This
program is really quite good, providing programmed instruction. The only
drawback to it is that it can't be installed on a hard drive. As a general
matter of course I refuse to purchase any software that is copy protected
but because of the low cost and good reviews I purchased Mavis. I was
wondering if anyone out there had any ideas about how to install a working
version of this program on my hard drive. I know how to deal with copy
protection in the MS-DOS world. At least the copy protection schemes don't
cause the system to lock up.
If any of you software vendors are out there please look at the way of the
future and provide easy methods of installing your software onto the soon
to be universal hard disk drive. Except for a few games ect. you still
really need the manuals to make extensive and effective use of the
software.h
