Not familiar with the gory details of how an undelete might be done, but remembering how one of the PD ones worked, is it important to have the exact filename of the file that was deleted? I imagine it forms a hash value – that rings a bell. If nothing else, this SetFunction trick could keep a list of the last N files that were deleted, and present that to the user.
