Russ, there was a line of questions that was going on in a set of messages in this library about circular directories on a hard-drive. I was looking specifically for that problem at the time and Betty implied that a disk sector editor could do the job IF the user knew what how to use it. I am unfortunately, not knowledgeable to be able to get right to it … I am planning on using it soon. I am not in a hurry because when I inadvertantly created my circular dir problem, I had a wordprocessor going and IT was still inside the loop. I pulled out most of the important docs that I had and saved them to floppy. But I still would like to resolve the problem without re-formatting. I suggest that you check out the other possible topics in this library – it had to do with "hard-drive problem" or "directory problem." Good luck! JL
