Well I haven't been able to really pinpoint a particular type of software causing the problems. It's just that the chances of any particular program crashing the 4000 seems to have increased considerably. Anything I do find that is causing problems, then I check it with the cache's off to see if it is still crashes. And if so, I get rid of it. ASDG had a problem with their ES-300C scanner module in that some customers were reporting that the module would not work unless the Copyback mode was turned off, like mine. However others with similar systems had no problems at all. They were never able to reproduce the problem on their 4000, however they and CBM were able to come up with a fix. So with the crashes I've had, and what others have reported, I still have a feeling that the 040 is a little flakey 8^) . //
