Joe, essientially all the stuff on tape was requested by AmigaWorld in the first place, not submitted for the first tape. Those were essientially the 'professional' segments, and if memory serves me correctly, they were Joe Conti and Alan Hastings. And neither of those were in the running for the best of tape award because of that fact. A couple of others were submitted on tape, along with disks. As for this animation tape, anyone can submit on tape. We need 3/4 or 1 inch, as well as a standard vhs tape for those submitted in that manner. And, you will still need to send disks (either floppy or syquest). In the event the animation is far to big to send, at least enough of it to prove it was created on the Amiga must be sent on tape. Winners will be carefully scrutinized, and *might* be required to submit more material so we can be sure it is amiga animations. That will be decided on at the time.
