Hi Dave, I don't even know where to start on my Quantum 105MG HD. I had reformatted it earlier to take advantage of the varying number of sectors per track on the different parts of the hard drive and was actually able to get more room out of the drive. Apparently, ADos doesn't seem to like the way that I set it up. Running something such as DiskSalv doesn't pick up any errors on the HD, but ADos has problems with relatively large files. I think it has something to do with when the file crosses a track boundary perhaps. I may try to find out what the problem is first before I reformat. But as soon as I reformat I can go through the fun part, deciding on how to set up the partitions. I had it originally set up with only two partitions and had trouble keeping track of all the subdirectories. Now a days, I have six partitions; 1 for the system stuff, libraries, etc.; 1 for the utilities I use; 1 for term programs and downloads; 1 for a few games of which I play very little of; 1 for experimental stuff, new programs that I play around with; and the last partition I want to put my C compiler stuff in as soon as I buy it. Any suggestions on how I should reformat it ? BTW, do you have any idea on how much room Lattice C takes up so I can make a big enough partition ? Well, it looks like theres fun times ahead for the both of us !! Kerry
