Greetings… I've recently installed a GVP 030 board in my A2000 and I'm looking for some advice as to the best way to maximize performance and memory. I've got 4 megs of 32-bit RAM on the GVP, plus an additional 8 megs of 16-bit RAM on a Microbotics board. Also, I'm using a Fatter Agnus (not the Fattest, though). As far as configuring the GVP board, I've shorted the J12 jumper to designate the 32-bit RAM as autoconfig. I also have the command SYS:SYSTEM/MERGE MEM in my startup-sequence–left over from when I was just using the Microbotics. The biggest question I have concerns my available memory. The Workbench (1.3) titlebar reads a max of 9052264; AVAIL from the Shell tells me I've got a max of 8388576 fast RAM. If anybody could steer me in the right direction here, I'd appreciate it! My basic questions are: Have I configured the 030 board properly (with respect to the existence of another 8 megs of 16-bit RAM on the Microbotics? Also, should I (and HOW do I) insert the GVPCPUCtrl FASTROM and ASYNC commands in my startupsequence? The GVP manual is vague about this, I think. Of course, any answers to any questions I haven't asked that are relevant here are welcome too! Thanks in advance, Bruce
