Jim, Thanks…it's my brothers..I'm not sure which scsi card they have but I recall something like future domain on the disk that installed the drivers. The power if definitely connected and the files are in config.sys..I will try installing them again when I get their monday. The soundblaster is using irq5 (I set it that way to avoid conflict with the printer)…do I need to set jumpers on the scsi card as well? What does that tiny cable that goes from the cd to the sound card do? I will check the alignment of the red dots on the cable to make sure it's plugged in correctly. thanks a ton… Nancy
