#SCSI card problems
Jim, with the F/D (tmc-850) it tries to boot the H/D connected to it.If you
have no drive connected to it you must set your system setup to 0 hard
drives connected. The F/D card takes over the boot process, BEFORE the
system does that is why you had to pull the bios since you did not have a
H/D connected. I happened across this when I had a bad H/D in a Toshiba
3200 and the company wanted $800. for a rebuilt 40 meg. I played with
different controllers using the exp. slots in the unit and the SCSI worked
well (I set the setup to 0 drives). The laptop is still runing well today
with no problems.(Total cost was (390. for 81 meg!). I'll send you the BBS
# in a private mess.
