Paul: No question that if we were talking about output to a non-continuous tone PS device (ie, laser printer, imagesetter) your advice is on the money. As life would have it, however, he was talking about making slides (smack me if I'm wrong there) and that means continuous tone, and almost certainly via Freedom of Press or a similar RIP. None of the usual fountain stripe rules apply in such a case, since the mechanism for creating halftones is completely different. There IS no concept of line-screen on a contone device in PS, so setting it or not isn't going to make much difference. Steve
